May 21, what a day! Celebrated my 18th birthday and went out around the Columbia Street area to create lil mini photo shoots using EV.
In the first set of images, I ventured into a local Save-On-Foods with some few amateur photographers and snapped photos of orchids and some other flowers, (not before asking the management first though).
The whole idea was to change up the EV setting for each image, seeing how light or dark the original would become, still being the exact same model and position.
I chose this particular set of orchids because I loved their coloring and whether it got brighter or darker, the colors were and are still vibrate.
The second EV collecting is a shiny, bright looking Jeep parked in the grand parking lot in the mini shopping area I was in. I chose to capture this vehicle for a few reasons. One, I love huge cars, vans, and trucks, like Jeeps and Dodge Rams, so that was the first thing that captured my attention. Second was its color. The bright orange stood out. And since the sun wasn't glaring down on it at the time, the background behind it wasn't too sharp, allowing the Jeep to be the true center of attention.
I really enjoyed going on this mini photo shoot and using the EV setting on my camera because I got to play around with different lighting techniques and not have to change or edit my original photo.
Can't wait to see what else is in store for this Photo Class Adventure!
